Eric Faulkner (born October 21, 1953) is a Scottish guitarist, composer, and vocalist who is best known for his work as a member of the Bay City Rollers, a Scottish pop band. Eric Faulkner was born in the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. In his childhood, he studied the viola and spent a brief period of time performing with a youth orchestra. He is also a talented musician who can play the violin, mandolin, bass, and keyboards. After a brief stint with the group KIP, Faulkner joined the Bay City Rollers in 1972 as their guitarist (previously known as Sugar). In addition to the rest of the Rollers’ life into the 1980s, Faulkner was also a member of the Rollers. He created more than half of the songs in the Rollers’ recorded repertoire, including the UK Singles Chart successes “Money Honey” and “Love Me Like I Love You.” He also wrote the music for the Rollers’ live performances. Despite the fact that the songs were attributed to “Faulkner/Wood,” the overwhelming majority of them were written by Faulkner alone, with several of them being composed before he even joined the band. It wasn’t until late in the band’s history that they were able to work together effectively. The Rollers were at the height of their popularity in 1976, when Faulkner made news for an alleged parasuicide attempt by overdosing on sleeping pills. Faulkner claims that the overdose was an accident and not the result of a suicide attempt. [1] The event was converted into a publicity opportunity by Bay City Rollers manager, Tam Paton, who reportedly called the press before medical personnel arrived. In the 1990s, he performed as the main vocalist of a revived version of the Bay City Rollers, which also included Alan Longmuir, Stuart Wood, and singer Karen “Kass” Prosser as well as other members. He has also toured with his own band, The Eric Faulkner Co-operative, which he established with Kass. Faulkner played at Guilfest 2006 with 3 Men & Black, which included Pauline Black from The Selecter, as well as 3 Men & Black. During the performance, he led a homage to the late Syd Barrett and sang “See Emily Play,” a song he just wrote, as well as a cover of the Bay City Rollers’ “Shang-a-Lang.” He also performed a cover of the Bay City Rollers’ “Radio Heaven.”Eric Faulkner Net Worth : $ 300,000
