Shoeslace Robinson (born September 22, 1990) is an American football running back who plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. He has played for the Jaguars since 201(NFL). Robinson started all 26 games for the 2010 and 2011 Michigan Wolverines football teams, and he continued to play at the same position as a senior for the 2012 squad, while also playing running back and receiving in the second part of the season. Robinson graduated from Michigan in 201In the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars chose him to be their quarterback. The next season, as a sophomore, Robinson broke the single-season Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) record for running yards by a quarterback and became the first athlete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) history to sprint and throw for 1,500 yards in the same season. Additionally, Robinson broke the single-season yards-per-carrying record for the Big Ten League with 4,272 yards of total offence (2,570 passing yards and 1,702 running yards) and led the conference in rushing. With 502 yards of total offence in his second start as quarterback against Notre Dame, he established a new Michigan single-game record for total offence.  He was named the Most Valuable Player in the Big Ten Conference in 2010 by the Chicago Tribune Silver Football and was named a first-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America in 201His 200-yard passing game and 200-yard running game in the same regular season game both established new Big Ten records for quarterbacks in a single game, and he became the first player in NCAA Division I FBS history to accomplish both feats in the same regular season game twice. A year after graduating from Michigan, Robinson guided the Wolverines to an 11–2 record and a win against Virginia Tech in the 2012 Sugar Bowl. In the inaugural night game played at Michigan Stadium, he passed for 338 passing yards, a career best, as the Wolverines rallied from a 17-point deficit to defeat Notre Dame. A year later, Robinson compiled eight of the top 10 single-game total offence totals in Michigan history, including 948 yards in a pair of games versus Notre Dame. Among the best single-season totals in Michigan history, his total offensive performance in 2010 (4,272 yards) and 2011 (3,348 yards) rank first and second, respectively. As a senior in 2012, he added another game to his record book by running for 200 yards and throwing for 200 yards in the same game. Robinson earned the moniker “Shoelace” because he has been playing football since he was ten years old with his shoelaces undone. He also raced as a sprinter for the University of Michigan’s men’s track and field team during his freshman and sophomore years. Previously, he had ran the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds, and in the 60-meter dash, he had set the best time in the state of Michigan’s competition in 2010.
