Chris Benoit Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography, How much money make? Christopher Michael “Chris” Benoit (French pronunciation:?[b??nwa]) is a French actor and singer. (May 21, 1967 – June 24, 2007) was a Canadian professional wrestler who competed in the World Wrestling Federation. Over the course of his professional wrestling career, Benoit has worked for a number of major organisations, including the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment (WWLF/WWE), among others. On top of that, Benoit is a two-time world champion, having been the World Heavyweight Champion of WCW and the World Heavyweight Champion of WWE, respectively. He was symbolised by the Big Gold Belt throughout each of his world championship reigns: Benoit is one of only four guys to have held the Big Gold Belt in both WCW and WWE, joining Bill Goldberg, Booker T, and Big Show as the only other individuals to have done so. He is also a five-time WCW/WWE United States Champion, having won the title twice in WCW and three times in WWE. He has also competed in the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and World Championship Wrestling (WWE). His victory against Triple H makes him just the second man in history to hold both the WWE and WCW Triple Crown Championships. He is also the twelfth WWE Triple Crown Champion and the seventh WCW Triple Crown Champion in history.  In addition to titles, Benoit was victorious in the 2004 Royal Rumble match, becoming just the second man to do so as the number one entrant, the other being Shawn Michaels. He appeared as the main attraction at numerous major pay-per-view events for WWE, including the twentieth edition of the company’s largest yearly event, WrestleMania, in 2004, when he won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his professional wrestling career. According to the WWE, Benoit was “a favourite among WWE fans for his remarkable athleticism and wrestling skill.” Benoit was generally considered as one of the most popular, respected, and talented technical wrestlers in history, and his career spanned more than two decades. Chris Benoit killed his wife and kid on June 22, 2007, and then committed himself by hanging himself on June 24, 2007, according to police. Since Benoit’s suicide, a variety of theories have been advanced to explain his actions, including brain damage, anabolic steroid addiction, and a disintegrating marriage, among others. Benoit’s most recent appearance for WWE was on the ECW brand. Benoit was originally booked to win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship in 1995 while still under contract to the original ECW, but this was thwarted by work visa issues; twelve years later, Benoit was booked by WWE to win the title at the pay-per-view event Vengeance: Night of Champions, but this did not come to fruition due to Benoit’s death that same night.
