Alexander Graham Bell Net Worth, Income, Salary, Earnings, Biography, How much money make? Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) was a Scottish-born scientist, inventor, engineer, and pioneer who is credited with developing the first practical telephone. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and died in New York City. In addition to the fact that Bell’s father, grandfather, and brother were all involved in research on elocution and speech, both his mother and wife were deaf, all of which had a significant impact on Bell’s life and career. His continued study into hearing and speech led him to experiment with hearing equipment, which ultimately resulted in Bell being granted the first U.S. patent for the telephone in 1876, the year before the invention of the telephone. As a result of his dissatisfaction with his most renowned invention, Bell refused to allow a telephone in his laboratory, which he deemed an infringement on his actual scientific job. Bell’s latter life was characterised by many additional innovations, including ground-breaking work in optical telecommunications, hydrofoils, and aeronautics, among others. Bell was one of the first members of the National Geographic Society, which was founded in 1888.
